Credits for BEEZER.com
Everything you didn't really ever need to know about beezer.com...
BEEZER.com is a product of Scott Beason's imagination. This is about the 400th version of this site, something that I started about 6 years ago. It hasn't ever really changed much... I just keep adding 1 or 2 new things on each design, mostly on the back end, stuff that the common visitor doesn't get to see. Most of it has been the slow migration to a database-driven environment here. Its strange that I would do so much work for my little corner of the internet... but, oh well. I do it anyway.
BEEZER.com is powered by PHP version 4.4.8. PHP stands for Hypertext Processor (yes, HP = PHP). Basically, its an open-source, C++ -like scripting interface that I really love quite a lot. I highly encourage anyone looking for something geeky to learn to play with PHP. Its incredible.
BEEZER.com is also powered by MySQL Database Server version 4.1.11. MySQL is an open-source database engine that literally hauls ass. I have really become a MySQL zealot in the past few years. Both PHP and MySQL offer a lot for me to keep this site updated.
The server BEEZER.com resides on is powered by Apache/2.0.54. The site is hosted by my brother. He rules :) (The more I tell him that, the more uptime beezer.com has... strange!)
Those three technologies operating in a nice happy balance keep this site running. Now, I just need more people to visit! :)
